Learn tools and skills to build - "Edible Neighborhoods"
Workshop 10-12pm, and plant sale 12-3pm
An Edible Neighborhood looks at a city or suburban block as a continuous edible landscape. During workshop from 10-12pm, we will cover the basics: introductions, plant lists for various sites, create neighborhood asset map, and agreements, and then walk the neighborhood with residents to discuss potential continuous edible landscaping ideas. From 12-3pm we will have edible veggies, herbs, berries, natives, trees, vines, flowers, and other fun plants for sale. The host site is a Rainwise project site so visitors can also see a cistern installation.
