Chinese Red Noodle Bean, aka Yard Long Beans (Vigna unguiculata subsp sesquipedalis)

Pole beans with red beans that can grow 2-3’ long! Must have this one!

Sun: Full sun for minimum 6 hours daily.  

Soil: Yard long beans are not picky about soil pH, but they do best in a soil with a pH between 6.0 and 7.5.

Water: Yardlong Beans respond well to irrigation but will also produce well under dry conditions. They are more drought resistant than the common bean. Be sure to not over-water. The most critical watering period is just prior to and during bloom. 

Zones: 5 to 13.

Height/Spread: When mature Chinese red noodle beans reach 6 feet tall and 6 inches wide.
