Low growing, creeping evergreen groundcover.  Stems with glossy, dark green leaves spread through rhizomes.  White tubular flowers lead to red berries that taste like wintergreen. Great wildlife forage, teas, and medicinal uses.

Sun: Partial shade to full shade. Wintergreen only wants to see 1 to 2 hours of direct sunlight per day, if that.

Soil: Wintergreen needs very acidic soil for plant health.

Water: Average water needs.  

Zones: 3 to 8.

Height/Spread: Height of 3 to 4 feet with a spread of 3 to 5 feet.
