Black Chokecherry (Aronia melanocarpa) *Multiple Sizes Available*

Black Chokecherry (Aronia melanocarpa) *Multiple Sizes Available*

from $18.00

Chokecherry is a great 3 season edible shrub. Beautiful fall foliage. Ripe berries have more antioxidants than blueberries.  Berries are somewhat astringent, so try a named variety for taste. Great for jams and jellies.

Sun:  We love this plant because it tolerates a variety of conditions, from full sun to fairly deep shade.

Soil: Ideally, the soil should be acidic but it can also grow in alkaline soils.

Water:  For fruit production to be at it's best, it is wise to water them once or twice a week when the conditions are dry.

Zone: 3 to 8.

Height/Spread: Black Chokecherry grows to 3 to 6 feet high and wide.
