Greenish-yellow flowers turn into small black fruits.  Fruits pop in the first year of growth. Multiple varieties available; please see additional info for details.

Sun: Compact, mid-sized deciduous shrub does best in full sun to dappled shade.  

Soil: Suitable for sandy, medium, and heavy, well-drained soil. Will grow in acidic, neutral, and alkaline soils.

Water: Currants require quite a bit of water. Water is especially crucial during the first weeks after planting, and while the plant bears fruit.

Zone: 3 to 7.

Height: 4 to 6 feet.
