Plants have gray-green leaves and produce purple flowers on stems in early summer.  English lavender flowers are small and consistent.  Spanish lavender flowers grow on pineapple-shaped heads.

Sun: Lavender wants full sun.

Soil: These fragrant perennials grow well in average, dry to medium soils.

Water: Lavender is a drought-tolerant plant. Do not water every day. Check it every couple of days to see what it may need. Too much water will kill your plant.

Zones: 5 to 8.
