Lemon verbena is a perennial shrub with pointed leaves that are a bit rough to the touch. The oils from the lemon verbena leaf produce a lovely fragrant lemon aroma when bruised. An excellent plant for making tea and infusions.

Sun: Full sun to partial afternoon shade.

Soil: Lemon Verbena likes rich and moist soil with good drainage.

Water: Lemon Verbena is a thirsty plant, and needs frequent watering to thrive. During the winter they can go with less water.

Zone: 8 to 11.

Height/Spread: When mature, Lemon Verbena, will occupy a space 18-inch square. Monthly trimming will be good to rein in lanky growth.
