Mints are perennials that thrive in light soil with good drainage.

Sun: Mint plants prefer partial shade. You can grow it in full sun if you water it frequently. 

Soil: Soil should be moist, but well-drained.

Water: Mint plants like water, but they cannot withstand soggy soil and wet feet. If the soil feels dry to the touch, add water.

Zones: 4 to 9.

Height/Spread: Mint will grow to 12 to 36 inches and spread vigorously.
